Arrival in Australia  11 November 1857

in Australia from Somerset, England, 12 November 2017

James and Mary were married in the church of St James the Less in Hambridge Somerset  on 4 August 1857 and embarked on the White Star Line’s “Shalimar” at Liverpool on 16 August 1857 arriving in Geelong on 11 Nove,mber.

James, as an “assisted passage” passenger was indentured to James Anderson of Barabool and, later moved to Buninyong.
